700mm diameter Firepit made of Corten steel, which over time will develop a protective, rust-like, coating which prevents further corrosion. They are individually hand built in my workshop in the Peak District, meaning no two fire pits are identical. Giving you a completely unique focal point for your garden parties. Do you want your corten steel to oxidise in mere hours? Then this rust accelerator is the solution. Below, we explain what to look for and how it works. In short, this is the process: apply the accelerator and within a few minutes you can already see the steel starting to oxidise. After, on average, 10 hours, the coated surface will be completely rusted. Apply the accelerator with a roller, brush, or sponge. This bottle is enough for approximately 5 square meters. The thicker the coating, the faster the steel will oxidise.
Note 1: Firepit will be delivered in it's fresh state, the final patina will develop over time. The firepit can be used while the patina develops.
Note 2: It is recommended to place the firepit on a heat proof material when in use to prevent scorching off the underlying surface.
